<p>Hot water system has a solar energy collector to heat water inside a storage tank. It also has a water filled heat store which takes heat from water circulating through the solar energy panel and stores it. This store is fitted with a safety device which operates if the temp. exceeds a certain valve. Also there is auxiliary heat store consisting of an additional water storage tank connected to the primary heat store via lines which can be shut off. A control device is provided by means of which if a temp. surge occurs in the primary store, an exchange of water takes place between the primary and secondary storages. Used with solar energy heated hot water systems. The problem with primary heat storages is that temp. surges causing overheating with relief valves lifting and water and energy are lost from the system. This system overcomes this problem.</p> |
