The thyristor has an insulating cylindrical ring serving as a case wall, and the thyristor etc. has pressure contacts in the form of two contact discs between which it is clamped. The contact discs (2, 2') have diameters corresponding to the inner dia. of the ring (1). They are held in position by two sealing rings (5) surrounding the thyristor (3) and made of a permanently elastic, heat and oil resistant adhesive. Their outer dia. also corresponds to the ring (1) dia. The two sealing rings may be positioned between the contact discs and a projection at the centre of the inner surface of the cylindrical ring.
