The text processing machine has a data memory designed to record data sequences (data blocks) which can be rearranged into texts on call by means of a call circuit. The machine has an electronic control unit (2) constructed so that when an output load switch (5) is switched to the load position it affects a partial zone in the memory. This zone contains a certain memory capacity for each call element which is then actuated. The memory capacity corresponds to at least the data quantity. The data input elements of an input until (4) which are also actuated, during the duration of the operating state of the call elements, are also affected. When the switch (5) is moved to the output position the data and blocks of data, which are affected by the data input elements, can be transferred into partial zones of the data memory. These zones being affected by the call elements which are then actuated towards an output (6) in the order of operation of the call elements and input data.
