The brake fluid reservoir is divided by a partition (2) into two separate chambers (3, 4) capable of being filled by a single filler neck, (5). The filler neck cap has the conventional electrical connections to a low level warning device. The reservoir contains a float provided with a central gap to fit over the partition (2) so that the float is divided into two sections but joined to a push rod (11) to make the electrical contact in the filler cap. The float weight is such that a fluid loss in one side of the container causes the float to react and give a fluid loss signal.
