The appts. is for the determination of the static pressure within the passenger compartment of a vehicle and comprises a double-walled container (1) with a layer of insulation between the walls. Within the container is a thermostatic mixture of ice (4) and distilled water (3) which maintains its temp. well because of the efficient insulation. An autoclave (5) has an equalisation tube (6) projecting through the wall of the container and a measuring tube (5) in which is mounted an inductive differential pressure transducer (11). The latter is surrounded by an insulating box (12). Adjacent the autoclave and located in the equalising tube is a magnetic valve (8). Electrical connections pass from the inductive pressure transducer to an amplifier and thence to an indicator device.
