<p>Plant for aluminium plating using aprotic solvents in an inert atmos., uses >=1 pretreatment tank (a); an air lock chamber (b) filled with inert gas; a plating bath (c); and >=1 post-treatment tank (d). Tanks (a, d) are located in chamber (b), which also contains workpiece transport devices (e) operated by remote control. Devices(e) are used for all the tanks, and are located above the tank charging openings. All the tanks or their charging openings are pref. located at the same height and in a straight line, devices (e) using pistons in work cylinders operated by inert gas. Inert gas above atmos. pressure is pref. used in chamber (b), the latter being connected to another chanber(f) which can be fed with inert gas, or hot air for drying. The adhesion of the Al is improved due to the exclusion of moisture and O2; the working life of the aprotic solvents is increased; and no noxious fumes are released.</p> |
