<p>The cardan type shaft joint has coupling parts displaced axially inside a housing. The housing (7) forms a separate component with recesses (5, 6) at opposite ends. The recesses are approx. rectangular in cross-section and displaced through 90 deg.. Into them project with lateral clearance flat blades (3, 4) on the ends of the shafts (1, 2). Stops (10, 11, 12, 13) prevent the shaft ends slipping out. The recesses (5, 6) are separated from each other by a central area (18) of the housing (7), and the edges (8, 9) of the flat blades (3, 4) are rounded. The housing can be a tube with its ends pressed flat in planes displaced through 90 degrees.</p> |
