<p>Plant for incinerating substances contg. volatile and fixed carbon, e.g. non-mineral natural prods. esp. for mfg. white rice husk ash with low carbon content used to make refractory building substances. The plant has a round reactor (1) for removing volatile matter, followed by a fluidised bed reactor (2) removing the fixed carbon. The bed (2) is fluidised by a controlled mixt. of fresh air and recycled exhaust gases. The novelty is that reactor (1) is independently heated and has a lower temp. than reactor (2), reactor (1) is located above reactor (2) and continuously fed with raw material, reactor (1) is also washed by an inert gas at a controlled temp. reactor (2) has a bottom grid for feeding the fluidising gases and the ash obtd. in bed (2) is continuously removed by a pipe in the bed. In the pref. process, the volatile matter is converted to valuable materials, e.g. furfural using the ash as a contact catalyst. Used to obtain ash contg. 97% SiO2. surplus gases for heating e.g. of water, furfural and tar.</p> |
