The appliance consists of an insert (3), with heating elements, and a flat housing (2), openon one side. The housing top is formed as a work top, and the housing and the insert are connected by guide members (11). The members allow a drawer-like pulling of the insert section from the housing. The housing has external elements for current supply, and internal elements, to create an electrically conductive connection between the external current supply, and the heating elements, when the insert is in use. The front insert end has rollers, while the rear end has side shoulders, engaging in guide rails of the housing.
