PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the possibility that an inkjet head may be damaged when a sheet is broken.SOLUTION: A printing device 100, which has a head unit 110 for forming an image on a surface of a sheet 10 to be conveyed on a conveying path, comprises: an image forming path CR1, included in the conveying path, on which image formation by the head unit 110 is performed; a head holder 500 that holds the head unit 110 so that the head unit 110 is arranged opposing to the image forming path CR1; a retreating mechanism that when abnormality occurs to sheet conveyance in the image forming path CR1, separates and retreats the image forming path CR1 from the head unit 110; an ink head cooling portion 510 that ventilates a ventilation path 507 including the head unit 110; and air blowing means that blows air from the head holder 500 toward the image forming path CR1 in a state where the image forming path CR1 is retreated by the retreating mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
