PURPOSE:To attain satisfactory monochromic and color printings by providing the peeling post of an ink ribbon in parallel with a heat generating element train at the edge, where the heat generating element train of a thermal head is arranged, with a space between the train and the ribbon where at least the ink ribbon can travel. CONSTITUTION:The heat generating element train 1 forming a line is arranged at the edge of an insulating substrate 2 to compose a real edge type thermal head. The peeling post 3 of the ink ribbon 4 is provided in parallel with the heat generating element train 1. The peeling post 3 is spaced against the thermal head with a space where at least the ink ribbon 4 can travel. |
