PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coding method for coding a digital video content and an apparatus.SOLUTION: A coding method of coding a picture of an image sequence, includes: a step of dividing the picture into a plurality of small parts; a step of selectively coding at least of the plurality of small parts in a frame coding mode at once, selectively coding at least one of the plurality of small parts in a field mode at once, and forming a coded picture; and a step of skipping coding of at least one of macro blocks in at least one small parts when the picture is a forward prediction coding picture or a bidirectional prediction coding picture.
