The bolt (1) has a hexagonal head (2) covered with a decorative plastic cap (10) with a domed end (12). The internal shape of the cap (10) matches the bolt head (2). The cap (10) is retained by two diametrically opposite tongues (18) which grip the tapered shoulder (4). These tongues are formed by two very narrow parallel slots which are not visible when the cap (10) is in position. As an additional aid to a secure fit, longitudinal ridges (19) are formed along the centre line of each face of the internal hexagon of the cap (10).
