Single jet wire shot blasting machine - feeds shot onto crossed spirals of wire, forming horizontal layer of wire

The wire shot blasting machine has an enclosure (1) through which passes the wire (2), which is wound around drums (5, 6) forming spirals crossing in the middle. In the upper part of the enclosure, a turbine(10) is connected to a feed pipe (11) for the shot. The lower part of the enclosure forms a funnel for the shot to be led away. The crossing spirals are spread across rotating drums spaced apart sideways by a distance equal to the diameter of the wire so that the spirals are contiguous and form a continuous layer. The width of the layer is at least equal to the area of the shot blast. The crossed spiral formation of the wire permits all the shot used to strike the wire several times during its passage through the enclosure.
