Intermittently operating moving band press - for bonding ply type items, e.g. collars or cuffs, incorporating heated press followed by a cooling section

Appts. comprises an endless band with a guide, a heating press and a cooling section (through which the band passes). The heating press is worked by a hydraulic ram as is the cooling section. The band is moved by a chain type transmission. The guide covers the full width of the band and there is a deflector to guide it in the lower position. The parts for treatment are trapped between the band and the guide. To remove them, the guide has to be lifted. To simplify this there is provided a mechanism with magnets included and the operation can be assisted by another hydraulic ram.
