The incinerator has a filling hopper (14) which connects with the chamber (10), a pusher (16) being fitted to the side of the chamber to deliver refuse to the drying chamber (12). The refuse falls from the drying chamber into the incinerator furnace (32). The flue gases escape to the chamber (28) to the chimney connection (26). Ashes are allowed to fall into the ash pit through duct at the base of the incinerator furnace. The combustion gas is injected into the side of the combustion chamber with combustion air.
