<p>The sleeve is tightly inserted on a cable coming in to a telephone exchange, and epoxy resin is cast in it between the wires. A perforated plastics plate is tightly fastened in the sleeve, itself tightly secured to the cable insulation. The plate is perpendicular to the cable axis, and has a hole for each wire, whose dia. corresponds to that of a bare wire. The bare wires passing through the holes are provided with insulating sleeves at least in the area covered with resin above the plate. The sleeve has preferably a circular support for the flexible plate. The latter may have clamping rings pressed against the support. The sleeve may be perforated.</p> |
