HV generator for TV receiver with earth resistor - is designed for reducing HV at switch=off system incorporated into HV plug

The HV generator is designed for use in a TV receiver. It has an HV plug connecting to the CRT and a load resistor connected between the HV connection and earth. The load resistor reduces the high voltage when the receiver is switched off. The load resistor is incoporated into the HV plug (13) and consists of film (16) on the inside of the insulating cap (15) of the plug. The film covers only a sector of the cap and connects with a metal ring (17) around the edge of the cap. This ring forms an external contact.
