Call charge indicator for PBX telephone exchange - indicates charges for both direct-dialled and operator-connected using shared interrogator

The call-charge indicator, for PBX exchanges, counts conversations and costs per extension irrespective of whether the caller dials directly from an extension or goes through the operator. The stores are read for both methods of charging. The read-out relating to one extension is initiated via a shared interrogate device at the exchange. In both cases the display at the exchange allowing the charge to be determined appears on the same display unit.
