<p>The equipment transports, detects the position of, and/or separates workpieces by means of a variable magnetic field. The variation is effected by switches (3) actuated by the workpieces (2) themselves, typically solid-state. The field can be built up by altering an electric current by inductances. Magnetic fields are only generated when a workpiece has to be transported, resulting in a considerable power saving, in addition to which there is no risk of blockage, and external controls are unnecessary.</p> |
