PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can supply ink while suppressing costs and stabilizing discharge amounts of the ink.SOLUTION: A printer comprises: a sub ink tank that is arranged below a recording head and stores ink to be supplied from an ink container to the recording head; a syringe pump 23 having a cylinder 41 and a piston 42; and a driving mechanism 40 that drives the piston 42. The cylinder 41 has a discharging port 44 and a filling port 43 provided at an end part thereof. The piston 42 can move both in an advancing direction and in a retreating direction in the cylinder 41. The driving mechanism 40 moves the piston 42 in the advancing direction when supplying ink to the recording head, moves the piston 42 to an original point O when filling the ink into the cylinder 41 of the syringe pump 23, further moves the piston 42 by first adjustment amounts in the retreating direction, and then moves the piston 42 by second adjustment amounts in the advancing direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7 |
