Flexible sinew-holding pliers for hand surgery - has tube with spring loaded holding claws of high flexibility

The flexible narrow sinew holding pliers is used for gripping of retracted sinews in curved sinew channels. The sinew transplants are pulled through circular bands or channels. The silastic rods are implanted as double ended sinew transplant. The pliers are very slender, extremely flexible and with claws which open wide and grip firmly. This arrangement is actuated by a push button. Into a flexible softened brass tube is guided a steel spring which has at one end a preloaded spring claw. This claw can be retracted by spring into a steel tube. This latter is placed on one end of the brass tube. This basic arrangement can be used also for several other surgical instruments. A cutting arrangement can be fitted in place of the sinew holding claw.
