<p>PURPOSE:To perform both reproducing operation and rapid traverse operation at one cartridge insertion slot and obtain a driving force at a small current value by providing driving shafts for the reproducing operation and rapid traverse operation which runs a tape individually, and replacing the two driving shafts alternately. CONSTITUTION:A capstan 12 for reproduction abuts on the pinch roller 29 of a cartridge 1 during the reproducing operation to drive the tape, and the capstan 12 for reproduction is separated in the rapid traverse operation while a rapid traverse roller 31 provided to the rapid traverse capstan 34 as the 2nd driving shaft abuts on the pinch roller 29 to drive the tape. The rapid traverse driving force is obtained from the inner circumferential surface of a flywheel which rotates as the same rotating speed as that in the reproducing operation, so a peripheral speed which is about 10 times is obtained easily in the same direction with the flywheel 14, so that the tape is driven at a small current value without varying the rotating speed of a motor.</p> |
