Curved double chain scraper conveyor - has wheel with members acting against inside chain to equalise tension

The curved double-chain scraper conveyor has chains running either side of the centre line and coupled by the scraper bars. On the inside of the curve is a wheel (23) with tensioning members (24) acting against the inside chain (17), to equalise the tension between it and the outside one (16). It can be in the form of a sprocket, with teeth deflecting the inner chain towards the outer one between the scraper bars (11). Pockets (25) are provided between the teeth to accommodate the bar ends. The teeth can have flanks converging towards their tips, which either fit in the chain links or have pockets accommodating them.
