<p>The solar heating system employs heat collectors which can be installed on a roof. Each collector has a housing (2) with a transparent cover (3) under which is a tube (4) for the heat transfer fluid, constructed in zig-zag shape. The two outer lengths (4a) may be of larger diameter than the intermediate lengths. These tubes carry strips of heat conductive foil (5) wound around them and held in tension by springs (6) for good heat transfer. The strips can be wound over and under the intermediate lengths alternately in opposite directions. A series of alternative spring coil and conductive strip arrangements include several different anchorage systems for the springs.</p> |
