<p>The cylinder is for use on hydraulically operated lifts, to provide a hydraulic cylinder which would stand up to buckling loads occurring, when the plunger is in the extended position. The cylinder assembly has a cylinder body with plunger provided with an open bottom end and collar. The cylinder is closed up by face plate and has a fluid passage opening near to the bottom. A similar opening is provided at the top of the cylinder in the vicinity of the gland seal. The plunger is a tube-shaped element closed by face plate at the top. During the lifting operation fluid fills not only the cylinder, but also enters into the hollow part of the plunger.</p> |
