<p>1530706 Optical presence sensor ERWIN SICK GmbH OPTIK-ELEKTRONIK 1 Oct 1976 [29 Oct 1975] 40742/76 Heading G1A An optical presence sensor comprises casing 13 for vertical movement on and pivotal movement about a vertical rail and containing a plurality of light beam generators 14 each arranged for emitting a light barrier beam 11 across at least part of a door aperture, means 15, 18 for adjusting the angle of beam 11 about two perpendicular axes, each generator 14 being combined in an autocollimation system with a light receiver 20; and a retroreflector 22 for co-operation with each beam 11. Plane mirror 15 is pivotable by socket joint 18 about a horizontal, 16, and a vertical spindle. The middle generator 14 sends a beam vertically through window 27 for sensing a person grasping the rail. In the embodiment of Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), each generator 14 with its light receiver is mounted on a frame pivotable about two axes.</p> |
