(un)satd. 3C and 4C hydrocarbons, (e) alkylating the alkylation feed at is not >450 degrees F and is not >500 psig, in contact with a strong alkylation acid, (f) sepng 7C and 8C alkylate from step (e) and mixing it with gasoline from step (c), (g) steam-reforming the is not >2C tail gas from (d), to form an auxiliary synthesis gas contg. oxides of C and H2, and (h) mixing the synthesis gas from (g) with the coal gasification gas from (a) before the conversion in (b). The gasoline is a Pb-free motor fuel; it can be blended with large vols. of lower octane materials, e.g. straight-run naphtha, to give increased vol. without lowering quality.
