PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly maintain sheet holding performance by adhesion of a transportation belt over a long term by adjusting adhesion force of the transportation belt for each part.SOLUTION: A sheet transport device includes: a transportation belt 1 that holds a sheet with adhesion and transports the sheet; and adjustment means for adjusting adhesive force for each part in at least one of a sheet transportation direction in the transportation belt and a direction crossing this direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
