<p>PURPOSE:To measure high polymer type human epidermal growth factor (HMW- hEGF) in high accuracy by synthesizing a monoclonal antibody to recognize HMW-hEGF but not human epidermal growth factor (hEGF). CONSTITUTION:A hybridoma of a mammalian cell immunized against HMW- hEGF having about 33 kilodalton as an antigen and a myeloma cell is cultured. Then, an anti-polymer type human epidermal growth factor is collected from the culture mixture. The monoclonal antibody belongs immunoglobulin IgG and does not recognize hEGF having about 6,000 dalton but recognizes HMW- hEGF having about 33 kilodalton. Immobilized polymer type-containing hEGF is treated with the HMW-hEGF monoclonal antibody and the amount treated thereof is measured by enzyme label method.</p> |
