A pressure sensitive resistance material and process for making the same is described which is of the type comprising an elastomeric matrix with conducting particles dispersed therein. Improved performance and improved ranges of conductivity between the no pressure and pressure range are obtained by coating the conducting particles with a semi-conducting material and/or by carrying out the polymerization of the resin and conducting particle mix under such conditions that polymerization is inhibited in the immediate region of the conducting particles.
