<p>A cartridge fuse carrier assembly has a housing with a recess for receiving a cartridge fuse. The fuse is held between a contact member co-operable with one end of the fuse at the bottom of the recess, and a cap at the opening of the recess, the cap carrying a contact member co-operable with the other end of the fuse. The cap carries locking means which are moved into the cap-securing position by a transverse movement of the cap relative to the recess, after the cap has been fitted to the opening of the recess. One or more wall surfaces of the recess and adjacent surface or surfaces of the cap, define a rib and groove coupling arrangement, with the or each rib and co-operating groove being relatively displaced with respect to each other by a distance substantially equal to the length of the transverse movement.</p> |
