PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly measure a gas pressure within an existent lead tube that is mounted at a connection point or a branch point of a communication cable, by fitting a pressure measurement valve to the lead tube.SOLUTION: A method for fitting the pressure measurement valve to a lead tube 1 for communication cable includes the steps of: using a pressure measurement valve 10 including a pedestal part 10A and a hollow valve body 11 to/from which an internal valve core 12 is freely attachable/detachable and while installing the pedestal part 10A on a surface of the lead tube 1, using a fixing member (adhesive resin putty 20) to fix the pedestal part 10A onto the surface of the lead tube 1 in an airtight state; opening a gas pressure detection 1P on the lead tub 1 through the inside of the valve body 11 from which the valve core 12 has been detached; and fitting the valve core 12 to the valve body 11 to seal the pressure measurement valve 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
