PURPOSE:To improve the implantation efficiency of light forming carriers from the 2nd electric charge generating layer markedly by providing the 1st electric charge generating layer consisting of a selenium alloy layer and an implantation layer. CONSTITUTION:A photoreceptor consists of an electric charge transfer layer of poly-N-vinylcarbazole and its deriv., a vinyl polymer havng an arom. or heterocyclcic pi electron system on the side chains, a selenium alloy layer and a layer consisting essentially of phthalocyanine which are provided successively on a conductive substrate. The selenium alloy layer consists of Se/Te, Se/As, Se/Te/ As, As2Se3, etc., and can be provided by vacuum vapor deposition, etc. Non- metallic or metallic phthalocyanine is used for the phthalocyanine. |
