A laundry treating apparatus is disclosed. The laundry treating apparatus includes: a drawer provided to be withdrawable from a cabinet; a drum provided in the drawer and receiving clothes; a drum driving unit provided in the drawer to rotate the drum; a fastening unit provided to reciprocate in one direction of a height direction and a width direction of the drawer and coupling the drawer to the cabinet detachably; and a transfer unit provided to reciprocate in the other direction of the height direction and the width direction of the drawer and operating the fastening unit.
