The machine has a box girder (1) which extends transversely to the working direction (A) of the machine and in which oppositely driven rotary implement units are mounted on vertical shafts (2). Vertical plates (24) of adjustable height are fastened by means of an articulated linkage (33) to the two outer sides of the box girder (1) next to the outermost rotary implement units. These plates (24) are displaceable in the horizontal direction approximately parallel to the working direction in relation to the box girder. When the working depth of the rotary implement units is increased the plates (24) are displaced rearwards in relation to the working direction (A) and automatically assume a position matched to the depth setting of the rotary implement units. <IMAGE> |
