发明名称 Vibrating hammer with rubber component to damp head motion - used in jogging glass or other fragile components
摘要
A vibrating hammer comprises an electromagnetically activated spring loaded hammer mounted in a supporting chassis so that the head of the hammer reciprocates at the mouth of a recess covered with a sheet of flexible material which act as an intermediate pulse transfer membrane. Elastomeric stops damp or constrain the hammer motion within the chassis. Used esp. for hammers for impacting against fragile or brittle materials, e.g. glass-ware, to reduce the impulse rate and inhibit fracture. Specifically the chassis machined from a block of 'natene' (RTM polyolefin) or nylon, and enclosed in a metallic (aluminium) case for enhanced heat dissipation. The hammer motion is restricted by blocks or rings of a hard (Shore 71) rubber, specifically 'Eladip (RTM), and/or a rubber of 'natene' or nylon. The flexible diaphragm is pref. of hard (Shore 99) rubber, specifically ('Eladip').
