Manifold for air cooler pipe cluster - has cast iron shell with bolted cover plate with pipes

The manifold is used for pipe clusters, pref. in an air cooler. The pipes are connected to the manifold directly or by additional tubes. The manifold also has inlet and outlet nozzles for the water to be cooled. The manifold is cast especially from spherical graphite cast iron. One half of the manifold is a half cylinder shell and other part is a flat cover plate (2). The shell and the flat plate are bolted together with a flexible seal (3) between the plate and shell contacting edges. The pipes joining the manifold are rolled into the cover plate. The connecting bolts (8) pass through edge flanges or through the bottom of the shell.
