The visual rhythmic stimulator to induce sleep has an electronic circuit with a pulse generator which produces pulses at a frequency matching that of the heart beats of the person using the device. This is followed by a luminous device which varies in intensity in a regular manner, at the same frequency. This has a filter with three superimposed screens coloured in sequence violet, blue and violet. the pulse generator includes a transistor forming part of a low frequency oscillator and a coupling section incorporating three capacitors which control the depth of modulation. It also has a Darlington transistor section in series with the lamp, controlling its supply.
