Static inverter without output transformer - uses two successive wave generators for AM voltage

The DC/AC converter used an input wave generator (61) including a HF transformer, providing a amplitude modulated voltage, coupled via a rectifier and filter network (62) to an output wave generator without a transformer. The output wave (63) generator provides a LF output regulated via the control circuit (64) for the wave generator (63), to eliminate the lower order harmonics, e.g. the harmonics below the 11th. The output wave generator (63) may be coupled to a further filter network (65) to filter out the higher order harmonics. The converter can be used to provide a monophase or 3 phase output.
