The tuning circuit is used for an oscillator in a transmitter or receiver. It has a logic circuit receiving the oscillator output and defining a variable integral number N such that NK is the frequency of the oscillator output where K is a fixed integral number. The logic circuit consists of an up and down counter counting down on receipt of the oscillator KN frequency and upon receipt of a given fixed integral number A. The contents of the up counter are stored in a memory when the down counter reaches a given count.
