The elastic window seal(1) is for use on metal section window frames(1), and has two projecting lips(4, 8) of which one(8) is 'Y' shaped. The body of the seal comprises a rectangular section(2) with the lips(4, 8) projecting from the top elongated face, and a longitudinal 'U' section groove(3) traversing the bottom face. The body(2), thus, forms an elastic tenon which is inserted in a frame groove whereby the lips project. The lips are of dissimilar length with the longer(8) projecting from one edge of the top face, and the shorter(4) projecting from the centre. The shorter(4) bears on the bottom face of the mobile frame, and the longer(8) bears on the outer face(5). The two lips taper towards a point, and the longer(8) terminates in a relatively small 'Y' formation (9).
