<p>The analytical cells consist of two plates of transparent material with an annular joint squeezed between them, thus defining a cavity in which to receive the liq. sample. Tubes pass through one of the plates to feed in the liq. sample. The appts. comprises two compartments. One contains the cell and a heat source near to the cell. The second compartment contains >=2 flasks, one of which contains a solvent and the other a solid drying agent. The cell can be a linked by via. a valve with the pipes normally used to feed in the sample to the two flasks alternately and to an exhaust circuit. In addn. to the ease of use the appts. considerably lengthens the useful life of the cells.</p> |
