Reed relay switch as a single interrupter element or in groups requiring only one current source which is fed simultaneously to the two halves of a split coil during the change from one stable state to another of the relay leaves. The coil assembly may have three electrical connection points in which case between one and three resistors provide current control or two points where up to four diodes may be used. Where a single resistor (7) is employed its value is equal to the resistance of each coil section (5, 6) and is connected between the coil ends (11, 13) having the same winding sense. A further resistance (8) may be included in the supply to one coil to provide balance.
