<p>A storage container in a piece of office furniture, such as a desk, is provided with a security lock which can be removed and replaced with another lock only by means of the original key for the lock. A releasable catch mechanism holds the lock housing firmly in a receiving well for the lock. Access to the catch is blocked by a covering member which can be moved away from its covering position only by movement of the lock mechanism with the original key. Thereupon, the catch can be released and the lock pulled out of its receiving well.</p> |
