The accessory for a bicycle, based on the main patent, consists of a chip(1) which is mounted on one of the rear stays(10) of the bicycle frame, used as an anchorage for a resilient strap(14) used to hold luggage(17) down onto a luggage carrier(16). This prevents theft of the strap. The chip has two circular straps(1, 5) which are secured to the stay by respective bolts(11, 12). Between them is a curved strip(4) so that the strap, which is passed around the stay, is trapped underneath.
