Cine camera intermittent spool drive - uses latch drive shoe with toothed drive wheel to advance spool 180 degrees each operation

An intermittent drive mechanism is intended mainly for the take-up spool in a cine camera. It comprises a latch drive which moves together with an arm along a slotted pin alignment. Film is transported through the camera gate past shutter and lens onto a take-up spool which can be driven intermittently. Two latch arms fixed together engage a drive wheel which can, in turn, drive the take-up spool. When the arm with the two latches is depressed along a guide slot on a pin the take-up spool drive is operated. The two latches operate alternately to drive the engaging wheel in a clock-wise direction.
