The holder for a halogen lamp with a glass base consists of a sleeve-like insulating case in which the lampholder with a cather and contact springs is placed. The lampholder (13) in the insulating cvase (12) has at least three pressure springs (18, 21, 22) of which one (18) is on the lamp base wide side, while the other two (21, 22) are allocated to a bevels at the lamp base corner. The springs apply lateral, strengthening pressure on contact springs. The pressure springs may be made as one piece. The angle between the main pressure spring and the two additional springs may correspond to that between the wide side of the lamp base and the lamp base bevel.
