<p>The high-speed pneumatic conveyor despatch and receiving station is esp. for tube post systems. The tube (2) is half cut away for the length of the slug, the cut-out portion (3) being covered by a door in the form of a hollow half-cylinder, divided along a line parallel with the tube axis into two halves. These turn in guides at their ends in opposite directions about the tube axis. The side of the tube opposite to the cut-out portion is covered by a hollow half-cylinder coaxial to the tube, its internal dia. being equal to the tube dia. A gap is left between the tube and this half-cylinder of width equal to the thickness of the door halves. An electric drive controlled by the slug movement opens and shuts the halves.</p> |
