<p>The system sprays a coating of lubricant in solution, fusion or suspension onto dies and punches used in the manufacture of moulded items. Before each compression operation, the lubricant is deposited on the working outer surfaces of the tools by means of nozzles working briefly and intermittently. The nozzles can spray a single substance, or use compressed air, steam or gas as an entraining medium for the lubricant. As alternatives, deposition can be effected by an ultrasonic oscillator, or a continuous jet can be divided into successive ones by a perforated disc driven by a synchronous motor.</p> |
